Crawford County Courthouse

County Attorney Colin Johnson visited the Crawford County Board of Supervisors last Tuesday to announce that Martha Sibbel, of Carroll, will be the new Assistant County Attorney.

Sibbel is a native of Coon Rapids and graduated from Coon Rapids-Bayard High School.

She has an undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota and a law degree from Drake Law School.

Sibbel has operated a solo law practice since August of 2007.

She is married and has two children.

“I’ve worked with her for years, especially in a juvenile court setting,” Johnson told the supervisors.

He said she is the best fit for the office and had the most experience of the applicants.

She will continue to live in Carroll, he said.

The supervisors approved her appointment 5-0.

Sibbel started her new job today.
