Heather Rasmussen, Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) executive director of care integration, announced at the Monday evening CCMH Board of Trustees meeting that additional positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Crawford County.

Rasmussen said CCMH has performed COVID-19 tests on 69 people; 13 of those were positive, 43 were negative and results for 13 tests are pending.

The official number for Crawford County according to the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) on Monday was 14 positive cases.

“We’ll have eight additional to that 14,” Rasmussen said.

“There will be a total of 22 when it gets caught up with the state,” said CCMH President and CEO Erin Muck.

She said additional testing was taking place on Monday, as well.

“I would expect those numbers to climb,” Muck said.
