At 1:59 p.m. on December 5, Douglas Duane Myers, 46, of Denison, was arrested on three active warrants – on reckless driving, driving while license under suspension and eluding.
At 1:33 a.m. on December 6, Ashley Donscheski was arrested for OWI, 1st offense, after a traffic stop at Highway 30 and 15th Street.
A one-vehicle accident occurred in the parking lot at Denison Care Center on Ridge Road in Denison at 9:21 a.m. on December 5. Stephen Maynard Marshall, 73, of Denison, was driving a black 2012 Chevrolet Equinox in a southeasterly direction and struck the concrete/brick planter along the east wing of the building. The vehicle received $2,500 damage and the planter received $1,500 damage.
At 2:03 a.m. on December 6, the law enforcement center received a report of a vehicle with its lights on in the middle of Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) ground on the west side of Ten Point Construction along Highway 59. It was discovered that the vehicle drove off the road and was trying to turn around. The vehicle received no damage.
On December 4 an individual reported that he received a scam call from 415-723-4875. The caller claimed to represent Social Security and said the victim’s account was going to be frozen due to drug activity in Texas. The victim was advised on the scam and was told to contact the Social Security office as he gave the caller the last four digits of his Social Security number.
At 6:54 a.m. on December 5, a Manilla resident reported receiving scam calls and threats. The victim was advised to change the phone number, delete Facebook and block phone numbers.
Accidental firearm discharge
On December 6 the Denison Police Department released a report about the following accidental shooting incident that took place on November 22. At 11:34 a.m., officers and paramedics were called to 23 South 10th Street for an accidental firearm discharge resulting in a non-life threatening injury to Daniel Paul McCaffery, 49, who lives at the residence listed.
