Strong American Development Group’s plans for a proposed new housing development in Crawford County will be the featured presentation at the annual Business Appreciation Breakfast, hosted by the Chamber and Development Council (CDC) of Crawford County on Friday, October 18.
The annual Volunteer of the Year Award will also be presented at the event.
In August, the Denison City Council approved a letter of intent to enter into a development agreement with Strong America Development Group LLC, represented by Matt Campbell, an attorney and investment fund manager.
Campbell is originally from Manning but now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
His interest in the development originated through Denison’s designation as an opportunity zone.
The agreement would be for a proposed 45-unit development, envisioned to be done in three phases, on property located between the high school and the middle school.
The CDC annual Business Appreciation Breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. at Cronk’s Restaurant in Denison.
The Business Appreciation Breakfast is open to all CDC member businesses, free of charge.
Non-member tickets are $12 each.
Those wishing to attend the breakfast are asked to RSVP to the CDC office at 263-5621 no later than Monday, October 14.
