Western Iowa Networks (WIN), which is the umbrella over Breda Telephone Corp, Westside Independent Telephone Company, Prairie Telephone Company and Tele-Services Ltd, has now assumed operations of Arcadia Telephone and Monarc Technologies in Denison.

Friday, November 1 was the first day of operations under the new ownership.

Customers in Arcadia will not see any immediate changes as WIN will continue to operate the existing copper facilities but has future plans to build a fiber optic network throughout the exchange which is planned to be complete within two years.

Monarc customers in Denison will see new internet speed tiers available as WIN currently offers 100Mbps, 500Mbps and 1Gbps and they plan to launch digital TV service in Denison in early 2020.

The Denison office has received a bit of a facelift as well as the service vehicles but the staff in Denison will remain the same.

“We are very excited to have the staff join the WIN family as they will bring not only their knowledge of the industry but more importantly the relationships they have built with the customers of Arcadia and Monarc, said WIN CEO Jeff Roiland. “We look forward to them growing with the company and helping to create continuity for our customers in those exchanges”

The hours at the Denison office will still be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but will be closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for the lunch hour.

The Arcadia office will operate as a payment location as the drop box will still be serviced.

More information about the services offered as well as WIN’s current pricing can be found at www.westianet.com. Customers will also be able to sign up for services on the website as well.
