Cesar Sanchez Piceno, 43, of Denison, is facing a felony extortion charge after allegedly holding a handgun to a woman’s head and threatening to kill her and their son.
He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time.
The incident took place at about 11 p.m. on July 7. The criminal complaint said Piceno placed the handgun to the victim’s head to get their son, a minor, upstairs.
The extortion charge is a Class D felony.
Piceno was also charged with domestic abuse assault, display or use of weapon- 1st offense, an aggravated misdemeanor; domestic abuse assault – 1st offense, a simple misdemeanor; and possession or carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence, a serious misdemeanor.
He was released from jail on July 8 after he posted $5,000 bail. He was ordered to appear in court at 11 a.m. on July 19.
A no-contact order was also filed against Piceno.
