At 8:15 p.m. on May 19, Jessica Joy Martinez, 29, of Deloit was arrested at Walmart for interference.
At 9:49 p.m. on May 21, Armando Perez, 32, of Denison was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended.
At 1:50 p.m. on May 21, Kelly Ann Lake, 40, of Sac City, driver of a white 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, was towing an enclosed box trailer northbound on Highway 59 in Denison. The east wind was blowing with gusts up to 55 miles an hour, according to the National Weather Service. The wind caught the empty trailer and flipped it over onto its side. The pickup and trailer crossed the center line and entered the west ditch of Highway 59. The trailer ended up on its wheels with about two feet of the trailer sticking out onto the traveled portion of the southbound slower traffic lane of the highway. The trailer ended up perpendicular to the highway with the pickup at the front of the trailer facing to the southwest in the ditch. The hitch was no longer attached to the pickup, but the tow chains were still attached. The side airbags of the pickup deployed from the trailer striking the side of the pickup. Damage was approximately $13,000.
At 6:06 p.m. on May 21, Ryann Renae Jenkinson, 20, of Denison, driver of a silver 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, reported a hit and run at Walmart in Denison. Jenkinson stated when she was pulling out of her parking spot her vehicle was backed into by a black Pontiac Grand Prix. The driver of the Pontiac asked if they were OK, and then sped off. There was $1,000 damage to Jenkinson’s vehicle. After looking at surveillance recordings, there was not a camera pointing to the place of the accident.
