At 2:58 a.m. on May 1, Buomkuoth Chuol, 22, of Dent, WA, was arrested for public intoxication and possession of marijuana.
At 10:01 p.m. on June 2, Roberto Tarin was arrested for driving while license barred.
At 3:10 a.m. on June 3, Tyler Thomas was arrested for OWI, 2nd offense.
At 10:42 p.m. on June 2, there was a report of kids possibly drinking and jumping the fence into the Schleswig pool after hours. Extra patrol of the park and pool was requested.
At 2:20 a.m. on May 25, Alan Ladd Galloway, 54, of Maplewood, MN, driver of a blue 2011 Freightliner tractor and trailer, was southbound on U.S. Highway 59 approximately two miles south of Schleswig. Galloway came over the crest of a hill and went into the northbound lane onto the gravel shoulder. He tried to pull back onto the highway off of the shoulder and lost control. The rig went partially down a ditch and rolled onto the driver’s side coming to a stop. Galloway stated he was not injured and that he was sore. The semi was left off the roadway until daylight when it could be removed safely. Galloway was transported to a hotel nearby. There was $25,000 damage to the tractor trailer. Galloway was cited with failure to maintain control.
At 3:48 p.m. on May 26, an accident was reported at 808 First Avenue South in Denison. The reporting party of the accident, Jermaine L. Brewer, 33, owner of a legally parked black 2013 Nissan Altima, stated he was parked along the street next to his residence when Ventura Diaz Jr., 47, of Denison, driver of a silver 2006 Chrysler 300, pulled out of his driveway and hit his vehicle. Diaz left the scene of the accident because he was late for work. There was $2,500 damage to the Chrysler and $2,500 damage to the Nissan.
At 4:11 p.m. on June 1, Maria Imelda Alvarado, 60, of Perry, driver of a maroon 2010 Nissan Murano, was westbound on Avenue C in Denison, approaching Highway 39, and Pamela Sue Burbach, 54, of Moville, driver of a gray 2018 Honda Accord, was southbound on Highway 39 approaching the Avenue C intersection. Both drivers deny knowledge of who had the green light. Alvarado was charged with failure to yield to vehicle on the right. There was $5,000 damage to Alvarado’s vehicle and $8,000 damage to Burbach’s vehicle.
