At 1:47 p.m. on November 1, Tyson Patrick Campbell, 47, of Denison was arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
At 10:41 p.m. on November 2, Ku Moo was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and failure to obey a traffic-control device.
At 9:33 p.m. on November 2, Becky Ann Weller, 33, of Denison, was arrested for disorderly conduct and interference with lawful acts.
At 1:17 a.m. on November 4, Clarissa D. Trotter, 34, of Omaha, Nebraska, was driving in the wrong lane of traffic and was arrested for OWI and possession of marijuana.
On October 29, Javier Razo Cortez, of Carroll, reported a green 2003 Audi stolen. The vehicle was recovered a short time later in the alley between South 7th Street and Avenue C in Denison. Video surveillance from a nearby store captured an image of a black male getting out of the driver’s seat, before leaving the vehicle parked. A bag of hand tools valued at $300 was stolen from the vehicle. The suspect has not yet been identified.
At 3:30 p.m. on October 31, Michelle Omholt, of Denison, reported that sometime in the past two or three weeks unknown subject(s) broke the padlock off her garage door, entered the building and took miscellaneous items. Approximately three weeks ago, unknown subject(s) drove across her yard and took a bunch of firewood. The dollar amount of damage and loss of firewood is unknown.
At 10:15 a.m. on November 1, Maxine Winey, of Deloit, reported the theft of an 115 horsepower Evinrude motor, cream in color, a depth finder and cables and a red and black life jacket. The time of the theft is unknown.
At 10:35 p.m. on November 2, there was a report of a MIP party on K Avenue in Denison. Parents were notified.
At 3 a.m. on November 4, Victor Edenilson Chicas Fabian, of Denison, reported tires slashed on a 2008 Toyota Avalon parked at 1006 13th Avenue South in Denison. The tires were valued at $450.
At 6:42 a.m. on October 24, Jason Steven Pechous, 29, of Scotland, South Dakota, driver of a silver 2018 Dodge Ram pickup, was southbound on Lincoln Way and stopped at Highway 30 for traffic. Pechous’ trailer was stopped on the railroad tracks at the same time a train was traveling east. The crossing arm came down on Pechous’ trailer and the trailer was struck by the train. The trailer was then pushed into the ditch. There was $8,000 damage to the pickup and trailer, $3,000 damage to the train engine and $12,000 damage to the railroad crossing arm owned by Union Pacific Railroad.
At 4:42 p.m. on October 25, Jo Ann Carol Thomas, 61, of Spencer, driver of a red 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan, was traveling north on Highway 39 near 2079 Highway 39, approximately one-quarter mile north of Vernon Voss Road, and was attempting to pass a vehicle. The van entered the northbound lane and observed a vehicle traveling north. Thomas quickly slowed down and attempted to re-enter the southbound lane, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, crossing over the highway and entering the east ditch, where the vehicle rolled. The van came to rest on the driver’s side. Thomas was transported by ambulance to Crawford County Memorial Hospital. There was $10,000 damage to Thomas’ van.
At 7:24 p.m. on November 1, Tisha Cary reported a car and deer accident on Highway 30 east of Yellow Smoke Road near in Denison.
At 5:24 p.m. on November 2, a hit and run accident was reported at 1321 Bohnker Hill Road in Denison. Billy Humberto Garcia Aguilar stated that he noticed the damage to his white 2007 Chevrolet Impala that day but thought the collision happened between 11 p.m. on November 1 and 7 a.m. on November 2. The vehicle was parked on the south side of the street. The damage to the vehicle consisted of a dent and a little bit of chipped paint in front of the driver’s door. Damage was estimated at $500. There are no suspects or witnesses.
At 4:12 p.m. on November 2, an accident was reported on South Main Street in Denison. Kirsten Brooke Herrin, 29, of Schleswig, driver of a black 2017 Kia Sorento, was northbound on Main Street when Ana Gloria Ayala De Saravia, 38, of Denison, driver of a brown 2006 Pontiac Montana van, was traveling east on Second Avenue South, attempted to cross through the intersection at Second Avenue South and Main Street and broadsided Herrin’s vehicle. Ayala De Saravia did not stop right after the accident and was followed by Herrin to the 1800 Block of 1st Avenue South. No injuries were reported. Minor damage amounting to $200 was reported to both vehicles. Ayala De Saravia was cited for not having a driver’s license, no proof of insurance and failure to yield at a stop sign. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.
At 8:10 a.m. on November 2, there was a report of a car and deer accident on Highway 39 between Denison and Deloit.
