Arrests and Warrants
At 11:50 p.m. on June 9, Kristina Marie Fuller, 18, of Deloit, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 11:29 p.m. on June 13, Jose Ignacio Pocasangre Menjivar, 21, of Denison, was arrested for driving while license suspended.
At 5:41 a.m. on June 16, Jonathan Sparks was arrested on a Shelby County warrant and transported to the county line.
At 2:52 a.m. on June 16, Hannah Wiges was transported to the Crawford County Jail on a warrant.
At 10:22 p.m. on June 14, Russell Sandbothe of Schleswig reported a black 22 ft. homemade trailer stolen with a white toolbox, $3,500 worth of house skirting and garage kit on it. The trailer is valued at $2,500 and was taken sometime on June 12 from Randy Segebart’s residence in Schleswig.
At 2:33 p.m. on June 14, Travis Clark of Dow City reported items missing of his and Josh Rosburg’s which included TVs, a washer and dryer, tool sets and a tool chest.
At 10:18 a.m. on June 15, Russel Worth of Manilla reported his Michael Jordan rookie basketball card missing some time the night before. The card is valued between $4,500 and $6,000.
At 4:45 p.m. on June 13, Liliana Marisol Castro, 30, of Denison, driver of an orange 2010 Chevrolet was headed south on North 10th Street in Denison and attempted to make a right hand turn onto Fifth Avenue North and took the turn too wide, crossing the centerline and striking a maroon 2009 Buick Enclave driven by Jose Aldana-Rodriquez, 47, of Denison, who was sitting at the stop sign at the west side of the intersection on Fifth Avenue North. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven away. There was $1,500 damage to Castro’s vehicle and $2,500 damage to Rodriquez’s vehicle. Castro was cited for improper use of a lane.
At 2:53 p.m. on June 14, Jason Philip Watje, 37, of Dow City, driver of a white 2017 Toyota Yaris was traveling east on Highway 30 when a deer ran out and struck his vehicle as it drove by. There was approximately $2,000 damage to the vehicle.
At 4:16 p.m. on June 14, Benita Ann Boger, 80, of Denison, driver of a silver 2013 Ford Edge was backing towards the south end of a parking stall on North 15th Street in Denison at the same moment a white 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Lonya Helen Mathys, 76, of Denison was backing towards the north out of a parking stall. Both units struck at the corners. There was $500 damage to each vehicle.
At 3:59 p.m. on June 13, Amber Lynn Irwin, 18, of Denison, driver of a silver 2008 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling northbound on Deloit Blvd. on a curve in the road and lost control going around the curve and rolled the vehicle over in the ditch coming to rest on its side. There was $3,000 damage to the vehicle.
