At 8 a.m. on June 21, Barbara Engelhardt reported a theft
At 5:31 a.m. on June 25, Angeles Anguilar Montiel, 58, of Dow City, driver of a blue 2002 Ford Explorer was traveling north/ east bound on Highway 30 between Arion and Denison. The road surface was wet and it was actively raining. Montiel lost control and his vehicle began to fishtail, spinning around and coming to rest in the east ditch on the left side. There was approximately $4,000 damage to the Explorer. Montiel was cited for failure to maintain control.
Juan Torres reported that he was northbound on Highway 59 when a deer entered the roadway and he struck the deer, killing it. Torres’s pickup sustained damage to the headlamp, grill, bumper and front fender. The time of the accident was 1:25 a.m. The date of the accident was not listed on the incident report.
