Arrests, Charges, Citations,

At 9:15 a.m. on January 15, Douglas Robert Rice, 63, of Denison was arrested for violating a no-contact order against a protected party on Sept. 22, 2018.

At 11:01 p.m. on January 16, Julio Guzman Rios was served a Crawford County warrant for trespassing.

At 9:04 p.m. on January 16, Joel Savaja was arrested for driving under suspension.

At 12:37 p.m. on January 16, Brittany Savanna Nicole Hedges, 28, of Arion was arrested for driving while license suspended.

At 10:06 p.m. on January 23, Robert Boll was cited for driving under suspension. The vehicle was towed for no registration and no insurance.

At 12:06 a.m. on January 23, there was a report of a male hiding in the community room in Schleswig. Sage Angulo was arrested on two Crawford County warrants.

Thefts, Vandalism, Break-Ins

At 3:42 p.m. on January 16, Crawford County Trust & Savings Bank in Denison reported forged checks.

At 5:40 p.m. on January 18, Jamie Reynolds of Charter Oak reported a kid shot a cat in the face and her daughter’s boyfriend’s leg with a BB gun.

At 6:24 p.m. on January 18, Myrna Zamago reported someone with a BB gun shot at her house. The BB gun was taken.

At 3:56 p.m. on January 19, Eric Gomes of Schleswig reported his tires cut.

At 10:55 a.m. on January 21, Amanda Rae Allyn, of Charter Oak reported a theft of a variety of items valued at $10,000 from her home.

At 9:33 p.m. on January 22, Brianna Benjamin reported two bowling balls, 10 to 15 fishing rods and an ice fishing auger stolen from her vehicle along with keys to the car and garage.

At 6 p.m. on January 23, a female juvenile was bitten by a dog on the right hand and fingers resulting in minor injury at Country View Estates in Denison. The dog was off its leash, unknown owner.

At 10:15 a.m. on January 23, Natalie Rosburg of Charter Oak reported a break in within the last three to four days. Unknown subjects broke out the window in the garage door and then possibly entered the house via an open window. It is unknown at this time what has been taken from the garage or house.

Accidents

At 7:09 a.m. on January 8, Carol Jean Lickteig, 70, of Dow City, driver of a silver 2004 Toyota Avalon states she hit wheel grooves in the dirt road that made her vehicle turn towards the north. There was $5,000 damage to the Toyota.

At 7:35 a.m. on January 18, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Highway 30 and Clinton Street in Westside by Rachel Merkel. Ritchie, the driver of the other vehicle, stated he rear ended the Merkel vehicle. Both parties exchanged insurance information.

At 2:33 a.m. on January 19, there was a report of a vehicle rolled over the ditch located on Highway 141 between 360th Street and 370th Street in Manilla. There was a mailbox at 3621 Highway 141 in Manilla valued at $1,000 that was destroyed and a 911 sign.
