At 4 p.m. on October 2, Casey Georgia Corkrean, 36, of Orient, was arrested for public intoxication.
At 8:12 p.m. on October 3, Michael M. Toppe, 27, of Grand Island, NE, was arrested for excessive speed and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, 1st offense. Also arrested was Antario Lajuanne Smith, 35, of St. Clare, MO, on a felony warrant out of Missouri.
At 7:02 p.m. on October 4, Brandon Enrique Ayala, 20, of Denison, was taken into custody on four active arrest warrants.
At 10:04 p.m. on October 4, Manuel Morales, 18, was arrested for driving under suspension (DUS) and no insurance and on a warrant for failure to provide proof of liability-DUS. The vehicle was towed.
At 8:30 a.m. on October 3, Wendy Vazquez, of Dow City, reported the following items missing from their home: desktop scanner, radio, Panasonic camcorder, a silver tin with dice and marbles, bath towels, gold lighter with a diamond stone and a yellow cat litter container full of dog food. The items belonged to Raul Casillas. The incident is under investigation.
At 8:24 p.m. on October 5, there was a report of people on 4-wheelers driving recklessly in the cemetery at 1411 J Street on the north side of Highway 141 in Charter Oak. A sheriff’s deputy spoke to three individuals.
At 12:28 a.m. on October 6, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office assisted with a call to a juvenile drinking party in Denison. The subjects were allowed to call their parents and go home.
At 5:30 a.m. on October 4, a black 2019 Ford Edge driven by Efrain Daniel Chavez, 29, of Denison, struck a deer on E16 approximately two miles west of the E16 and Highway 30 intersection. The vehicle sustained approximately $5,000 damage and was towed by Waderich’s Towing in Denison.
At 9:16 a.m. on October 6, there was a report of a van and deer accident at 150th Street southbound from Ricketts. No further information was available at press time.
