Arrests and Warrants
At 2:15 a.m. on September 22, Travis Patrick Fink, 36, of Dow City, was arrested for interfering/resisting arrest and public intoxication and was taken to the Crawford County Jail.
At 11:46 p.m. on September 22, Juan Loarca Bernabe, 49, of Denison, was arrested for OWI, 1st offense.
At 8:26 p.m. on September 27, Kyhan Joe-Danial Davis, 22, of Denison, and Karen Yamilet Melara, 29, of Denison, were arrested on active arrest warrants.
On September 27, Brett Nuzum of Kiron was charged with OWI and failure to maintain control.
At 6:49 p.m. on September 27, Fredy Cesar Nonega Perez, 37, was arrested on a DOT warrant.
At 3:37 p.m. on September 28, Paul Manyang Ter, 38, of Denison, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.
At 10:11 p.m. on September 28, Gabriel Flores Zamudio was arrested for driving while barred.
At 6:18 p.m. on September 29, Jeffery Potter was arrested for driving under suspension.
At 8:05 p.m. on September 29, Kathie Dreessen, 49, of Denison, was charged with 5th degree theft.
At 2:52 a.m. on September 29, Cristian Garcia Ortiz, 20, of Denison was arrested for OWI, 1st offense and driving while revoked.
At 2:44 a.m. on September 29, Fabiola Alejandrina Navar Maganda, 22, of Denison, was arrested for OWI, 1st offense.
At 1:28 a.m. on September 29, Angel Saldana-Perez, 51, of Denison, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and two counts of assault.
Thefts and Vandalism
At 7:30 p.m. on September 25, Nick Kirk reported a Marlin .22 cal. model 60 rifle with scope stolen from a location in the country. The incident remains under investigation.
On September 26, Bonnie Brodersen, of Dow City, reported a battery charger and a case of beer stolen from her garage.
At 5:36 p.m. on September 28, Ann Morrison reported damage to her vehicle in Westside. The incident remains under investigation.
At 11:29 p.m. on September 27, Bryanna M. Sheil, 18, of Valley, NE, driver of a blue 2007 Honda Accord, took a sharp turn on Q Avenue west of Denison. Her vehicle went into a ditch and struck a cement block. When officers arrived, they noticed the driver looked unconscious. EMS was contacted and eventually Sheil was responsive and complained about knee and chest pain. Sheil was transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital and treated for her injuries. Her vehicle received $2,000 damage and was towed by Waderich’s Towing in Denison. Sheil stated she was not wearing her seatbelt. Sheil was traveling over 100 miles per hour and when asked why she was traveling so fast, she replied she was late for curfew. Sheil was cited for excessive speed and failure to have insurance.
At around 10:16 p.m. on September 27, Autumn Holt’s 2008 Jeep Compass was hit by an unknown white vehicle while legally parked in a Denison High School parking lot. There was approximately $500 in damage.
At 6:46 p.m. on September 28, Baylee Lucille James, 19, of Pisgah, was driving a white 2001 Dodge Ram pickup and was turning right from Highway 59 onto Highway 30 when her truck hydroplaned, causing it to go into the north ditch of Highway 30. James stated her insurance would tow the vehicle from that location. There was no damage to her pickup.
