Boyer Valley suffered a 56-26 loss to Glidden-Ralston in Eight-Man, District 8 football action on Friday night at Glidden.
It was the third consecutive setback for BV, which fell to 1-3 in District 8 and 1-5 overall on the season.
G-R raced out to a 22-0 halftime lead, but BV rallied to within 28-20 midway through the third quarter before the host Wildcats reeled off 28 straight points for a 56-28 lead with 9:31 left in the game.
BV quarterback Conlan Petersen ran for a two-yard touchdown run and had a 48-yard TD pass to Dylan Berens.
Petersen ran for 51 yards on 16 carries, while completing 13-of-23 passes for 160 yards.
Hunter Soma also was in on two TDs for the Bulldogs. He returned a kickoff 75 yards for a score in the third and crossed the goal line on a 32-yard run in the fourth.
For Soma, the kickoff return for a score was his fourth of the season and the team’s fifth.
He finished with 66 yards rushing on nine carries on the night.
Petersen’s favorite targets on the night were Dylan and Lucas Berens, who caught five and three passes, respectively, for 68 and 54 yards.
Defensively for BV, Tyler Brummer led with 8.5 tackles, including seven solos.
Dylan Berens had 6.5 tackles with five solos as well.
