Boyer Valley fell to 0-6 on the baseball season Monday night after a 6-3 loss to Coon Rapids-Bayard at Dunlap.
The loss also moved BV to 0-4 in the Rolling Valley Conference.
The game was tied at 2-2 after three innings, but CR-B took the lead for good at 4-2 with two runs in the top of the fourth.
The Crusaders plated two runs in the sixth to make it 6-2. BV then tallied the game’s final run in the last of the sixth.
Hunter Soma went 1-for-3 with one run for the Bulldogs. Jaidan Ten Eyck was 1-for-1, as was Ethan Hanigan.
Adam Puck and Aaron Hanson each scored runs for Dan Steele’s club.
Hunter Soma started on the hill and threw four innings in taking the loss, as he gave up four runs on three hits, struck out five and walked three.
Conlan Petersen tossed two innings in relief, yielding two runs on one hit with one K and two walks.
Jonathon Shimerdla also threw 13 pitches in one inning of relief.
