BV boys fourth, girls fifth at D-S Co-Ed

The Boyer Valley boys placed fourth and girls fifth in their respective divisions at the Denison-Schleswig Co-Ed track and field meet on Friday at Denison.

The BV boys finished with 71 points, while the Lady Bulldogs tallied 40 points on the day.

Harlan won the boys’ team title with 196 points, while Denison-Schleswig was your champion on the girls’ side with 189 points.

Boys’ results

Tyler Brummer paced the BV boys at Denison, winning the 100- and 400-meter hurdles titles in times of 15.74 seconds and 57.55.

Brummer added a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash in 11.56.

Justin Ambrose also placed second in both the 3,200-meter run (10:37.81) and 1,600-meter run (5:01.64).

Girls’ results

Leading the way for the BV girls was the 4x800 relay team that placed second overall in a time of 11:21.87.

That foursome included Marie Hanigan, Jaci Petersen, Abby Burkhart and Kylie Petersen.

BV’s shuttle hurdle relay team of Jenna Simon, Shelly Sherwood, Leah Cooper and Sydney Klein ran third in 1:19.87.

Taylor Klein finished fourth in the discus with a toss of 81-7. Addie Wood was fifth in the same event with a throw of 75-5.
