The Boyer Valley boys and girls participated in a Class 1A state-qualifying track and field meet on Friday at Tabor.
On the boys’ side, BV tallied 73 points and finished fifth overall.
Council Bluffs St. Albert won the boys’ team title with 146 points.
On the girls’ side, BV garnered 36 points to take home ninth place in the final team standings.
The Lady Bulldogs did not have any state qualifiers.
Logan-Magnolia won the team title with 151.
BV had four boys in six events qualify for the state meet set for Thursday through Saturday at Drake Stadium at Des Moines.
Tyler Brummer led the way by qualifying for state in four individual events.
Brummer won the 400-meter hurdles in 56.31 as an automatic qualifier.
He also qualified in the 100-meter dash (11.36, second), 110-meter high hurdles (15.19, second) and long jump (19-10 1/4, fourth).
Dylan Berens and Lucas Berens both qualified for state in the discus event.
Dylan Berens finished fourth at Tabor with a throw of 141-0, while Lucas Berens placed eighth with a toss of 128-0.
Justin Ambrose finished third in the 3,200-meter run to qualify for state with a time of 10:12.42.
The 4x800 relay team of Marie Hanigan, Paige Ringenberg, Abigail Burkhart and Kylie Petersen just missed being an automatic qualifier, placing second overall at Tabor in 10:42.63.
Kylie Petersen also took fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:37.86. Hanigan ran fifth in the same event in 2:42.77.
