BV girls earn RVC golf championship

The Boyer Valley girls and Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton boys claimed Rolling Valley Conference Golf Tournament championships on Monday at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.

The BV girls shot a team score of 390 to win the conference title by 44 strokes over second-place Coon Rapids-Bayard’s tally of 434.

On the boys’ side, Exira/EH-K earned the team title with a score of 322. CAM was second to the Spartans at 357.

The BV boys shot a 375 for fourth place among the six schools entered.

Abbie Miller paced the BV girls with a 91 after shooting rounds of 43 and 48, respectively.

That was good for runnerup medalist honors behind CAM’s Sammi Jahde, who took home medalist honors with an 89 (43-46).

Katy Puck was next for BV at 97 (49-48).

She was followed by Katelyn Neilsen (48-52--100), Maci Miller (51-51--102), Reagan Frazier (50-56--106) and Alexia Miller (57-56--113).

BV boys

Conlan Petersen paced the BV boys with an 18-hole total of 87 (45-42).

That was good for fifth among the top individuals.

Exira/EH-K’s Ev Carroll took home medalist honors with a 71 (35-36).

Ben Tibken of CAM was runnerup medalist with a 76 (41-35).

Grant Kenkel placed seventh overall for BV with a 90 (48-42).

Caden Neilsen shot a 95 (48-47). He was followed by Adam Puck (58-45--103), Conner Kenkel (48-58--106) and Clay Roberts (57-59--116).
