BV girls outslugged by Wildcats

Lady Bulldogs vs. G-R

The Boyer Valley girls were outscored 15-10 by Glidden-Ralston in Rolling Valley Conference softball action on Friday at Glidden.

With the loss, BV fell to 0-6 in the RVC and 0-8 overall on the year.

BV trailed 11-3 when Paige Gaskill’s club plated six runs in the top of the fifth to pull to within 11-9.

G-R then scored three runs in its half of the fifth to make it 14-9. Each team pushed one run across in the sixth.

The Lady Bulldogs put together 13 hits.

Marie Hanigan went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs. Nicole Behrendt went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run.

Taylor Klein went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and three runs.

Kylie Petersen was 2-for-4 with one run.

Alexia Miller finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and one run, while Jaci Petersen was 2-for-4 with one run.

Leah Cooper also was 1-for-5 with one RBI and one run.

Behrendt tossed all seven innings for BV, allowing 15 runs on 14 hits with one strikeout and nine walks.
