BV girls suffer 14-4 setback to Woodbine

Lady Bulldogs knocked off by Woodbine in RVC action

The Boyer Valley girls dropped a 14-4 decision in five innings to Woodbine in Rolling Valley Conference softball action on Friday night at Woodbine.

The loss kept BV winless on the season at 0-3 in the RVC and 0-4 overall.

BV trailed only 4-3 after two innings, but then Woodbine broke the game open with an eight-run third frame to make it 12-3 at the time.

The Lady Bulldogs had five hits on the night.

Leah Cooper went 1-for-2 with one run.

Nicole Behrendt went 1-for-1 with two runs and four stolen bases. Kylie Petersen was 1-for-2 with one RBI. Talia Burkhart finished 1-for-3 with a double and Zoe Reffitt was 1-for-1 for Paige Gaskill’s club.

Behrendt took the pitching loss, yielding 14 runs (10 earned) on only six hits with 13 walks.
