Boyer Valley and Paton-Churdan split a pair of Rolling Valley Conference basketball games on Tuesday night at Dunlap.
In game one, the BV girls saw a 25-14 halftime lead disappear in a 51-35 loss to Paton-Churdan.
In the nightcap, the BV boys outscored P-C 32-15 in the second half en route to a 54-28 triumph over the visiting Rockets.
Tuesday’s game was definitely a tale of two halves.
Tied 8-8 at the end of one quarter, BV outscored P-C 17-6 in the second to take a 25-14 lead at halftime.
P-C outscored BV 14-3 in the third to pull even at 28-28 after three quarters, but the Rockets then netted 23 of the 30 points over the final eight minutes to win going away.
The loss dropped BV to 2-4 in the RVC and 2-6 overall.
Chelsey Fundermann led BV with a double-double effort of 13 points and 16 rebounds. She scored seven of her team’s 10 points in the second half.
Katelyn Neilsen added nine points on three, three-point baskets.
Katy Puck chipped in with five points, five boards, three steals and two assists. Abbie Miller also had four points and six boards.
Tuesday’s 26-point win improved the BV boys to 3-3 in the RVC and 4-3 overall.
Up 22-13 at halftime, BV outscored P-C 13-7 in the third quarter to take a 35-20 lead into the fourth.
Gavin Reineke paced BV with 14 points, adding five assists, four boards and three steals.
Lucas Berens chipped in with 11 points and five boards. Dylan Berens had eight points, 11 boards and three assists.
Jaidan Ten Eyck tallied seven points, four boards and four assists. Conlan Petersen also had six points, three boards and two steals for the Bulldogs.
