The Charter Oak-Ute girls and Paton-Churdan boys were victorious in Rolling Valley Conference play on Friday night at Churdan.
In the opener, three CO-U girls reached double figures, as the Lady Bobcats beat P-C for the second time this season with a 68-45 victory.
In the nightcap, P-C avenged an earlier 56-52 loss to CO-U with a 62-52 triumph at home over the visiting Bobcats.
Friday’s 23-point win was the second victory in a row for CO-U, which moved to 9-4 in the RVC and 10-6 overall on the season.
The Lady Bobcats, up 18-13 after the first quarter, enjoyed leads of 37-23 at halftime and 56-37 going into the fourth.
Casey Carstens paced CO-U with 21 points to go with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Tori Nuzum added 18 points, four steals and three assists. Caylie Boyle had 14 points, three shot blocks, two boards and two assists.
Taya Thomas also had eight points, seven assists and four steals.
"I think overall this was probably our best played game to date. We had some great passing and we were able to find a lot of openings in their zone defense that resulted in 17 assists," commented Charter Oak-Ute coach Derek Dougherty.
Friday’s 10-point loss was the second setback in a row for CO-U, which fell to 5-7 in the RVC and 7-8 overall.
Spencer Gress paced CO-U with 19 points.
Jesse Hupp added 11 points and six boards, while Caleb Clemon had eight points and three assists.
Hunter Clausen also had seven points and eight boards.
