Denison-Schleswig was limited to only two hits in a 10-0 loss to Fort Madison in baseball action on Wednesday.
The game was played at Duane Banks Field on the University of Iowa campus at Iowa City.
The loss dropped D-S to one game under .500 at 14-15 overall.
With the win, Fort Madison improved to one game over .500 at 15-14.
The Bloodhounds from the Southeast Conference jumped up 8-0 after three innings with one run in the first, four in the second and three more in the third.
After a scoreless fourth, Fort Madison plated a run in the fifth and then another in the sixth to win by the 10-run rule.
D-S had just two singles in the loss, as Dawson Dorhout went 1-for-3 and Trey Brotherton 1-for-1.
Fort Madison left a total of 13 runners stranded on the bases, while D-S left four guys on.
Braiden Heiden started on the hill and took the loss in four innings of work. He gave up nine runs on 11 hits, struck out two and walked nine.
Brotherton also tossed one and one-third, yielding one run on three hits with two walks.
