IKM-Manning’s two-game win streak on the baseball diamond came to an end on Monday night, as the Wolves lost 7-2 at Class 2A fourth-ranked Treynor.
The loss dropped Cory McCarville’s IKM-Manning team to 3-10 in the Western Iowa Conference and 4-10 overall.
IKM-Manning scored both of its runs in the top of the fifth for a 2-1 advantage, but Treynor pushed four runs across in the last of the fifth and then plated two more runs in the sixth for the win.
Alex Lingle went 2-for-4 to lead the Wolves.
Ethan Carter went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Will Jorgensen finished 1-for-2.
Jerod Henkelman and Hayden McLaughlin each scored runs for the Wolves, which used three pitchers on the night.
Max Nielsen threw four innings for the loss, as he gave up four runs on four hits with four strikeouts and seven walks.
Grant Stracke and Carter also saw work in relief.
