IKM-Manning ends skid on softball field

Wolves vs. AHS

The IKM-Manning girls snapped a four-game losing streak on Monday night with a 5-0 Western Iowa Conference victory at Audubon.

The win moved IKM-Manning to 2-3 in the WIC and 2-5 overall.

Leading 1-0 through four innings, IKM-Manning plated three runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth to end the scoring.

Joanna Freese went 3-for-4 with a double and one run for the Wolves, while Emily Kerkhoff also was 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Lexi Branning finished 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two runs scored.

Bianca Cadwell wound up 1-for-4 with one RBI as well for the Wolves.

Cadwell picked up the pitching win in a complete-game effort, as she gave up no runs on only two hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
