The IKM-Manning girls and boys were victorious over Logan-Magnolia in Western Iowa Conference action on Tuesday night at Manning.
In game one, Gene Rasmussen’s IKM-Manning club rallied from a five-point deficit at halftime to post a 50-42 victory.
In game two, IKM-Manning’s Ethan Carter and Alex Lingle combined for 23 points, as the Wolves pulled off a 41-36 triumph over the visiting Panthers.
Tuesday’s eight-point win enabled IKM-Manning to remain unbeaten at 3-0 in the WIC and overall.
Down 27-22 at halftime, IKM-Manning outscored Lo-Ma 28-15 in the second half for the win.
Alexa Ahrenholtz led IKM-Manning with 13 points to go with three assists and two steals.
Gabrielle Cadwell added 11 points, five boards and four assists. Sydney Wegner had seven points and nine boards. Nicole Hanson also had seven points.
Lexi Branning chipped in with six points, 16 boards and four assists, while Caitlin Muhlbauer had six points and four boards for the Wolves, which converted 18-of-26 free throws on the night.
Tuesday’s five-point victory was the second in a row for IKM-Manning, which moved to 2-1 in the WIC and overall.
The contest was tight throughout, as IKM-Manning led a low-scoring first half by a 15-12 margin. Lo-Ma then outscored the Wolves 15-12 in the third quarter to tie the game at 27-27 going into the fourth.
IKM-Manning then outscored Lo-Ma 14-9 over the final eight minutes for the win.
Carter paced the Wolves with 12 points. Lingle added 11 points, four boards, three shot blocks and two steals.
Kyler Rasmussen had six points, four steals, three boards and two assists. Colten Brandt chipped in with five points, four boards and three steals, while Nathan Blankman finished with five points, five steals and four boards.
