Mo. Valley knocks off IKM-Manning boys

IKM-Manning’s struggles on the baseball field continued Tuesday night with a 6-2 loss to Missouri Valley at Manilla.

The game was called after five innings because of rain.

With the loss, IKM-Manning fell to 1-9 in the Western Iowa Conference and 2-9 overall.

A four-run second inning powered a Missouri Valley team that led 6-0 before IKM-Manning plated both of its runs in the last of the fourth.

Grant Stracke led the Wolves by going 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in the fourth.

Alex Lingle went 1-for-3. Dane Blom and Ethan Carter both were 1-for-2.

Amos Rasmussen also scored a run for the Wolves.

Conner Richards took the pitching loss, yielding six runs on 12 hits with three strikeouts and no walks.
