The Denison-Schleswig varsity boys’ soccer team earned a 3-0 victory over Atlantic on Friday night at Atlantic.
It was the second straight victory and fourth in five matches for D-S, which improved to 5-1 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference and 10-4 overall.
All three D-S goals were scored in the second half.
Juan Chino netted two goals to lead D-S with Osvaldo Reyes-Cabrera also finding the back of the net for the Monarchs, which outshot the Trojans 31-4, including 15-1 in shots on goal.

"We passed the ball well and dominated possession the entire match," commented Denison-Schleswig coach Carlos Trevino.
"We had a few bad touches that led to counters on their end, but for probably 80 percent of the game we played half-court offense against nine players packed inside the box on defense," he added.
"Chino came off the bench and us a big performance with two goals and one assist," Trevino noted.
The D-S junior varsity boys defeated Atlantic by an 6-0 margin.
Manny Alcaraz and Edgar Lara each scored two goals to lead D-S.
Other goals were scored by Manuel Leanos and Ludin Lima.
D-S outshot Atlantic, 27-2, including 11-1 in shots on goal.
Yahir Zavala had one save in goal for D-S. Joel Guzman also played in goal and didn’t face any shots.
We played a lot better that we did against Creston. Our ball movement was better and we created better scoring opportunities by getting the ball wide and not forcing to the middle of the field too much," commented D-S coach Chris Eller.
