Class 3A fifth-ranked Treynor used two big innings en route to a 16-2 Western Iowa Conference softball victory in five innings over IKM-Manning on Friday night at Irwin.
The loss was the second in a row for IKM-Manning, which fell to 1-3 in the WIC and overall.
The Wolves managed only one hit off Treynor’s pitcher and that was a solo home run in the last of the third inning by Lexi Branning, who finished 1-for-2 at the plate.
Sammy Halbur scored her team’s second run in the fourth.
Treynor, up 3-0 after the first inning, plated six runs in the third and seven more in the fifth en route to winning by the 10-run rule.
Bianca Cadwell suffered the pitching loss, as she gave up the 16 runs (two earned) on only four hits with two strikeouts and six walks.
