Class 2A third-rated Treynor combined for 14 runs in the fourth and fifth innings on Friday night, as the Cardinals picked up a 17-1 Western Iowa Conference baseball victory over IKM-Manning at Manilla.
The loss was the second straight for IKM-Manning, which fell to 1-4 in the WIC and 2-4 overall.
IKM-Manning scored its lone run in the third inning and trailed 3-1 when Treynor plated five runs in the fourth and nine more in the fifth to win by the 10-run rule.
The Wolves tallied only three hits in the loss.
Alex Lingle went 1-for-2. Jerod Henkelman also was 1-for-2 and Ethan Carter was 1-for-1. Amos Rasmussen scored his team’s lone run.
Lingle started on the mound for IKM-Manning and took the loss in three and two-thirds innings of work.
He allowed eight runs on five hits, struck out one and walked two.
Carter and Tyler Henkelman each threw two-thirds of an inning for Cory McCarville’s squad.
