Rocket girls claim first volleyball victory

Rocket girls vs. Spartans

Ar-We-Va earned its initial volleyball victory of the season on Tuesday night with a 25-18, 25-20, 27-25 triumph over Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton at Elk Horn.

The win moved Ar-We-Va to 1-0 in the Rolling Valley Conference, 1-4 overall in matches and 5-9 in games.

Jadeyn Smith paced the Rockets with 12 kills, adding 12 digs and two blocks.

Sara Schurke tallied 22 assists and two aces.

Leslie Luft contributed 23 digs and three aces.

Bridget Cameron garnered seven kills and one block. Maggie Ragaller followed with eight digs and two aces. Jamie Hausman had six digs and Maris Cameron finished with two kills.
