Ar-We-Va went 3-2 in matches and took second place to CAM at the Rolling Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament on Saturday at Mondamin.
Boyer Valley was in action as well and finished 1-2 in matches on the day.
Ar-We-Va opened with a 19-21, 21-14, 15-9 victory over Woodbine.
The Rockets then won two of three games from Glidden-Ralston, winning 10-21, 21-8, 15-11.
Amber Hoffman’s Ar-We-Va then dropped its winner’s bracket final to CAM, as the Cougars won 21-19, 18-21, 15-9.
Ar-We-Va then swept G-R (21-13, 22-20), setting up a rematch with CAM in the tournament’s championship match.
CAM would win the title with a 17-25, 25-15, 15-10 victory over the Rockets, which moved to 14-10 overall in matches and 40-30 in games after Saturday’s competition.
Senior Emilee Danner paced Ar-We-Va on the day with 55 kills, while Sara Schurke had 66 assists in the five matches.
Boyer Valley’s day started with a 2-1 loss in games to G-R, as the Wildcats won 21-19, 17-21, 15-13.
BV then swept Woodbine (21-10, 21-7), before falling in three games to Coon Rapids-Bayard in a consolation action.
CR-B won 16-21, 21-15, 15-9, as Larry Neilsen’s Lady Bulldog team moved to 13-13 overall in matches and 35-36 in games on the season.
