The Ar-We-Va boys extended their win streak to five games on Monday night with a 4-2 nonconference baseball victory over East Sac County at Westside.
The win moved Ar-We-Va to 10-5 overall on the year.
Austin Stoelk’s Rocket squad led 4-0 through six innings with single runs in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth frames.
East Sac County then plated both of its runs in the top of the seventh.
Keegan Simons went 2-for-4 with one run batted in and one run scored for Ar-We-Va.
Drew Schurke also was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, one RBI and one run.
Dalton Ehlers finished 1-for-4 with one RBI and Derek Oeser was 1-for-2 with one run for the winners.
Cooper Kock started on the mound for Ar-We-Va and threw three innings for the win.
He gave up no runs on just two hits, struck out two and walked five on the night.
Henry Segebart then tossed three innings, yielding no runs on one hit with two strikeouts and one walk.
Will Ragaller threw two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on one hit with two Ks and one walk.
Schurke then finished off the game, throwing one-third of an inning with one K in throwing only eight pitches.
