Ar-We-Va opened its 2018 volleyball season on Tuesday night with a 25-19, 25-18, 25-17 sweep of Audubon at Westside.
Senior Emilee Danner paced Ar-We-Va with 10 kills, seven solo blocks and three ace serves.
Senior Emily Hinners added four kills and one block assist. Sophomore Hannah Kraus had three kills, two digs and one ace.
Sophomore Jadeyn Smith contributed two kills, nine digs and one block assist. Sophomore Sara Schurke tallied one kill, three digs and two ace serves.
Junior Leslie Luft finished with one kill, six digs and two ace serves and sophomore
Bridget Cameron wound up with two digs for the Rockets.
"It was a good matchup for our first contest of the season. Audubon was scrappy and really gave us some good rallies," commented Ar-We-Va coach Amber Hoffman.
"We have to minimize some minor errors and work on serve accuracy, but overall, I was very pleased with how we played," she added.
