Three D-S girls earn all-conference soccer honors

Denison-Schleswig landed three girls on the 2019 Hawkeye 10 All-Conference soccer teams released recently by league officials.

Senior forward Alex Mohr earned a spot on the first team for the fourth consecutive year after leading the Monarchs with 27 total goals.

Senior forward Vanessa Gunderson was a second-team recipient and senior goalkeeper Kailey Pick was a honorable mention choice for the Monarchs.

Gunderson also was honored as an all-conference performer for the fourth straight year.

She was an honorable mention pick her freshman year, a first-team selection as a sophomore and a second-team choice as a junior.

Gunderson was second to Mohr in goals scored with seven this past season and Pick finished with 148 saves in goal for the Monarchs.

D-S finished 6-9 overall this past season.
