IKM-Manning suffered an 8-3 loss to Logan-Magnolia in Western Iowa Conference baseball action on Thursday night at Logan.
The setback snapped a two-game win streak for the Wolves, which fell to 1-3 in the WIC and 2-3 overall.
The game was tied at 2-2 when Lo-Ma plated two runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 4-2 lead.
IKM-Manning got run back in the sixth to make it 4-3, but then the host Panthers pushed four runs across in their half of the sixth for a five-run cushion.
The Wolves had six hits, all singles in the setback.
Alex Lingle went 2-for-4 with one RBI to lead his team.
Dane Blom, Will Jorgensen, Nolan Ramsey and Max Nielsen all hit safely with one-base hits for the Wolves.
Jerod Henkelman, Amos Rasmussen and Ben Lingle all scored runs for Cory McCarville’s Wolves’ club.
Nielsen opened on the hill for the Wolves and took the loss in four innings.
He allowed four runs on four hits, struck out three and walked seven.
Rasmussen also tossed two innings, yielding four runs on three hits with two Ks and one walk.
