IKM-Manning suffered setbacks of 13-1 to Van Meter and 12-1 to Perry at the Perry Softball Tournament on Saturday.
The two losses dropped IKM-Manning to 1-5 overall on the season.
In game one, Van Meter scored nine runs in the top of the first inning.
IKM-Manning then tallied its only run in the bottom of the first.
Van Meter then added a single run in the third and three more in the fourth to eventually win by the 12-run rule.
Lexi Branning went 2-for-2 with a double and one run to lead the Wolves.
Emily Kerkhoff was 1-for-3. Joanna Freese also went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Bianca Cadwell was 1-for-2. Jessica Christensen also was 1-for-2.
Cadwell took the pitching loss, as she gave up 13 runs on 11 hits, struck out three and walked three.
Against Perry, IKM-Manning managed only two hits, singles by Kerkhoff and Augusta-Lynn Newman.
Kerkhoff scored her team’s only run in the first inning.
Leading 5-1 after two innings, Perry crossed with seven runs in the fourth frame.
Cadwell suffered the pitching loss in four innings, yielding 12 runs on 11 hits with four Ks to her credit.
