IKM-Manning claimed its third consecutive victory on Friday night with a 35-16 victory over Manson-Northwest Webster in Class A, District 2 football action at Manson.
The win moved Tom Casey’s IKM-Manning club to 2-0 in District 2 and 3-3 overall going into this Friday’s district contest with Alta-Aurelia at Manning.
The Wolves outgained Manson-NW in total yards, 339-242, as Casey’s club rushed for 256 yards and threw for 83 yards.
IKM-Manning led 21-8 at halftime. The Cougars got to within 21-16 in the third quarter, but two Wolves’ touchdowns in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach for the hosts.
IKM-Manning quarterback Nolan Ramsey completed 4-of-7 passes for 83 yards with two TD throws of 44 yards to Parker Behrens in the second quarter and 21 yards to Luke Ramsey in the fourth.
Colten Brandt opened the scoring for IKM-Manning with a 23-yard TD run in the first quarter.
The Wolves also got TD runs of 29 yards from Amos Rasmussen in the third and one yard from Kyler Rasmussen early in the fourth.
Brandt finished with 67 yards on six carries.
Amos Rasmussen ran 11 times for 94 yards, while Kyler Rasmussen carried the ball 16 times for 96 yards on the night.
Behrens led the Wolves in receiving with two catches for 52 yards and the one TD grab. Luke Ramsey had the one catch for his 21-yard score and Brandt also had one grab for 10 yards.
Defensively for IKM-Manning, Kyler Rasmussen led in tackles with seven solos and 10 assists.
He also picked off a pass and returned it 54 yards.
Brandt added six solo tackles and seven assists, while Mitchell Kerkhoff had three solo tackles and seven assists against the Cougars.
